Confirmation required after face unlock?

Question

On my Pixel 8a, 1password requires me to confirm by tapping a button after I unlock with face unlock. This is despite the "always require confirmation" phone setting being turned off. Is that expected behavior or a problem with my phone?

Update! I think this was due to turning off animations on my phone. When I turned them back on, the confirmation went away. I'm not sure  if this is a 1password bug.
