Conflict Between 1Password And Microsoft Word
In Microsoft Word you can insert a nonbreaking space between words to keep them on the same line. I.e.
aaaaa bbbbb ccccc
123 feet
instead of
aaaaa bbbbb ccccc 123
feet
This can be done by hitting Ctrl-Shift-Space. In the example above the nonbreaking space would be between '123' and 'feet'.
1Password intercepts the Ctrl-Shift-Space and pops up the PIN authentication screen followed by the password authentication screen. The Ctrl-Shift-Space is not passed to Microsoft Word. 1Password should not even be appearing in Microsoft Word.
I need a fix or workaround. (There is a way to insert a nonbreaking space using special characters, but it is a PITA, especially since I've been using nonbreaking spaces for decades.) I am running Windows 11 Pro, fully patched, and Microsoft 365.
While working on this issue the Devs should make sure there aren't any other keyboard shortcuts in Word (or Excel, etc.) that are being intercepted.
(Since there is apparently no way to directly contact 1Password Support, there should be a "Bug Report" tag on these Community posts.)
