Confusing pricing policy for new users.

Completely new user here, but due to a very confusing and misleading pricing policy, the deal will probably fall through.
The 1Password pricing page says that I pay $2.99 per month for the annual package. That would be $35.88 per year. If the 24% VAT in our country were added to that, the amount would be $44.49.
When I log in and start subscribing, the amount is already $47.88 (without taxes). And when I enter my country of residence, the amount to be paid suddenly appears as $59.37 !!!???
Is this company a complete scam? First impression is very repulsive… 👎

Hello @Pets! 👋

I’m sorry for the confusion caused, it sounds like the checkout process could be clearer. From your description, it sounds like you’re seeing the difference between the first year promotion and the regular annual price before the first year promotion is applied.

If you send an email to our billing team at support@1Password.com with a screenshot of what you’re seeing, and what country you’re signing up from, then they’ll be able to confirm this and clarify the situation.

After emailing in, you'll receive an automatic reply with a Support ID. Post that here, and I'll be able to locate your message and make sure it's gotten to the right place.

Why does this service have to be so complicated to use? I just want to subscribe and pay the price that is stated in the price list. I don't want to exchange emails with any support for that. I have already described very precisely what the problem is. Just make your portal logical and transparent. Otherwise it looks like you want to cheat customers right from the start.
