Confusion on PassKeys with MS

I am confused as to why 1PW shows me that a Passkey is available for OneDrive, which is linked to a paid 365 account, yet OneDrive has a Passkey.  I can see only so many Passkeys in my MS Account Settings, which I assume is separate from what I can see on 1PW.

One additional note, where the heck can I see my Passkeys or what logins on 1PW have Passkeys?  If it is there, it isn't simple to get to, or is it?

Passkeys are great, but I am still skeptical about how they are administered between organizations like Microsoft, 1PW, etc. It feels like a cryptic, unorganized nightmare.

Hello @OnePAJY! 👋

Thanks for the question! You can view all items with a passkey by searching for the following in the 1Password desktop app:

=passkey

Regarding OneDrive, you can find information about their support for passkeys here: OneDrive - Passkeys.Directory

Let me know if you have any questions.

Just an additional note that I do not expect to see the exact key as that’s not possible. I meant to see what logins have a passkey especially without opening them all to look. I guess we could save them in a group.

Thanks Dave.  My confusion is related to Microsoft than anything else, but that is another hill I must climb.  With so many email accounts and then MS free and paid accounts I have accumulated, I just keep getting Passkeys and then there isn't.  1PW did not even have my latest email account but has the passkey.  Guess that is acceptable if I just said add Passkey, but one has to usually add a PW first.  It's not that it isn't correct, it seems it can get out of hand organized-wise.

@OnePAJY

Thanks for the reply. Usually when you save a passkey 1Password will also save your email in the same item. If that doesn't happen then you can edit your Login item to add the email address manually.

You can find more information about saving passkeys here: Save and sign in with passkeys in your browser
