"CTRL + Shift + Space" also doesn't work on Linux on the Gnome desktop environment
Quite a bit late, but "CTRL + Shift + Space" also doesn't work on Linux on the Gnome desktop environment (which the vast majority of users are running), if any application is in the foreground. My guess is because holding "CTRL + Shift" makes the application listen for a specific bind.
