Question

Did you know that there is an off-by-one error when filling credit card dates on the AWS portal

Spent a while on the phone to the credit card company (as advised by Amazon, who do not post transactions using CVV2 and apparently expect problems as a result) as a result of payments failing, and it turned out to be the expiry date being entered incorrectly into the web form; one month earlier than the date stored in 1Password.
This is clearly visible when you look at it harder, but I didn't notice until I came to try another card and realized the date was being incorrectly completed.

Hi @antiphase:

Thanks for reporting this. Just to confirm, you're referring to this form here, correct?

If so, this is something we're investigating and I've added you as affected to our issue tracking this. Thanks again for reaching out!

The specific page was https://us-east-1.console.aws.amazon.com/billing/home?region=us-east-1#/paymentmethods
The image above looks somewhat similar but not identical to what I see where the problem was found.

@antiphase Thanks for sharing the exact URL.

Yes, it is the issue that my colleague Jack mentioned. I can see that he has already added your voice to the list. I'm sorry about the inconvenience it may cause.
