Disable keyboard shorcuts in extension

I use Ctrl + Shift + L as a keyboard shortcut in Google Docs

1Password Chrome extension will periodically "steal" this shortcut for locking 1Password.

Is there a way to stop this from happening?

I’m sorry that a keyboard shortcut for 1Password in the browser is being reset back to the default. Our developers previously looked into the situation and confirmed that, on certain actions such as updating the browser, Chrome can sometimes unexpectedly reset browser shortcuts.

We had previously reported the issue to the Chrome development team but they were unable to reproduce the issue. We also stopped being able to reproduce the issue and yours is the first new report that we've received since August 2024. I've flagged this to our development team so that they can take a second look.

I also recommend that you report the issue directly to Chrome from your end: Report an issue or send feedback on Chrome - Computer - Google Chrome Help

Hello @spinner! 👋

I’m sorry a keyboard shortcuts for 1Password in the browser is being reset. Just to clarify, have you previously changed 1Password's shortcut to Lock the extension to something else on the following page in Chrome: chrome://extensions/shortcuts

If you have then, so that I can better understand the situation, can you tell me the following:

  1. What did you change 1Password's keyboard shortcut to?
  2. How often does the keyboard shortcut reset?
  3. Does the keyboard shortcut reset after an update to Chrome? Or some other action?

Hello

I deleted all 1Password keyboard shortcuts.

Reset happens every few weeks. Makes me think related to Chrome and/or 1Password update. Both happen without my intervention, so cannot say which one might be responsible.

The keyboard shortcut becomes active again, despite no action on my part.
