I fill out a lot of online forms on behalf of clients and I'm getting prompts all the time to save a new identity. How do I turn that off please? Thank you.

Adding my two cents to this. It's a "feature" I'm not sure anyone actually requested. Why would we have so many identities that we need 1P to constantly offer to save them?? I have two 1P identities: my home, and my work. That's it. I actually think you should remove the option asking to save identities entirely from the app and put the person who came up with the idea in time-out for the week -- but if you won't do that, please give us the option to turn it off. Thanks!

And let me add that there's a bug. In come cases, it is IMPOSSIBLE to dismiss the save New Identity prompt. The X on the pop up form does not close the form. Total pain when I have to work around the pop up to get my work done. Please do something about this!

Hello, @axman53 and @eFlat7. Thank you for writing in.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience. There is an option to turn off this feature in the 1Password extension settings. Here's how:

  1. Open your browser.
  2. Right-click the 1Password icon in your browser's toolbar and select Settings.
  3. In the Autofill & save section, turn off Offer to save contact information.

Let me know if there's anything else I can assist you with.
