Question

Does 1Password for Safari ever NOT require the password?

Safari's 1Password seems to require a password entered every time I try to enter any login info. I can be 10 seconds from the last time or 10 minutes. And I always have to type it as the methods don't unlock.

Hello @loyed256! 👋

I'm sorry that you're prompted for your account password more often than expected. So that I can better understand the situation can you tell me the following:

  1. What version of 1Password for Safari are you using? This guide will help you find out: How to keep 1Password up to date in your browser
  2. Do you already have the 1Password for Mac desktop app installed?

I look forward to hearing from you.

  1. 2.27.1
  2. Yes. Always!

How often is it supposed to reset and ask for a password after you've unlocked it?

@loyed256

We recently released a new update to 1Password for Safari where we’ve fixed app integration and I believe that it will help you as well. Follow these steps to update:

If you still have trouble using 1Password for Safari after updating to version 8.10.44 then please let me know.
