Feature Request: Favorites at the Top

It would be great if, when viewing Vaults or Categories, favorites would be at the top, regardless of sort setting. This could be an option in the sort dropdown.

Thank you!

Thanks for sharing this detailed use case @ErikLandskov! That's very helpful.

I can't say if or when this feature might be added, but I've filed a request with the team including your use case and comments. Thanks again for that!

I don't think it will achieve quite what you're looking for, but I did want to mention that search filters can help pull up favourites, or other items, in specific vaults or sections. For example you could search "=vault:Private =favorite" to pull up a list of favourites in your Private vault.

Hi @ErikLandskov! Thanks for joining the Community.

To help file a request, could you share a bit more about your use case for having favourites sorted to the top in vault or category lists rather than finding them in the Favorites section?

Thanks again!

Hi @1P_Timothy! For sure!

My main use case is to have favorites within vaults easily accessible without them being combined into the full favorites menu. For example, I'm a musician with multiple accounts on many sites (one personal, one for my music alias), so I have two vaults, Personal and Music. I have lots of stuff for my music business like logins, a bank account, an identity, and some secure notes.

When I look at the standard favorites menu, items from these 2 vaults are bunched together. It's incredibly common that I want to see only music stuff or only personal stuff, so this adds extra friction when I'm trying to find my most used items. Favorites at the top when viewing the vault would immediately solve this.

This would also be helpful in categories. For example, I have many credit cards but I use 3 of them 90% of the time. They are separated by vault due to being for different businesses, so when I know I want a certain card I would love having my most used easily accessible in the credit card category. It's the same story with identities.

I understand that there is a "frequently used" sorting option and while it is great, it doesn't give the customization and flexibility I'm looking for. There are logins, for example, that I use all the time in my 2 main vaults that I never need at the top since they autofill perfectly fine. Those show up at the top with the frequently used grouping when I don't want them to.

Thank you for reading, and I hope you consider this feature!
