[Feature Request] Manually choose to fill in or generate a password

1Password sometimes mistakes the text box for entering the current password as the one for setting a new password, or vice versa. As a result, it may recommend a new password in the text box for entering the current password, or the other way around. This forces me to fill in the password by copying and pasting. However, as is well known, it is not safe to have the password appear on the clipboard.

Therefore, I hope that 1Password can provide an option to switch between filling in the current password and generating a new password in the text box. This service is not that intelligent yet.

Environment: browser extension.

Hello @BKLyoBvt! 👋

I'm sorry that 1Password isn't offering the correct suggestion for certain pages. If you can provide the website address of those pages then I can file issues with our development team to get that fixed.

For the time being, if you'd like to avoid copying and pasting your password, you can drag and drop it from 1Password's pop-over in the browser or from the desktop app: Use drag and drop to fill in apps
