Feature Request: Manually link apps to items

Since the url scheme for linking apps is gone from 1Password 8, but 1Password offers the ability to link items via univerisal autofill and you can delete them. It would be nice to manually add them. I mentioned this in the context of iTerm on another post (using the window name). But also even the app generically.

curious if there is any movement on this? I really miss this feature. I have even resorted to using AppleScript to get bundle ids before opening quick access so i can paste it in to the search field.

@snowy

I don't have any updates to share, the request is still open with our team. If the feature is introduced you'll see it noted in our release notes: 1Password Releases 🙂

so i am still hoping this becomes a thing. i noticed there is scheme for these:

{"OcerviewApp:":{"app_id":"com.microsoft.rds.macos"}}

which is similar how it worked for 1password v7. It seems like there should be the ability to expose this so users can ADD additional apps. Cause I have a few items i want to show up in particular applications but autofilling isn't appropriate for the situation.

and there is an option to add Sign-in With. seems pretty straightforward. You could even just give a list of Apps on the system to pick from.
