Feature Request: Per-user favourites

The Favorites list should show only the items that I've favorited.

If I want to share my favorite items, I'll duplicate/move them into vaults or create links to the favorites.
If someone wants to share their favorites with me, they can duplicate/move their favorites into vaults or create links to their favorites.

Definitely +1 for the idea that favorites should be specific to individual users. As currently configured, the feature is not particularly useful for group accounts.

In June 2024, Dave_1P provided this information:

The metadata that stores whether an item is favourited exists in the item itself using the faveIndex value:

If an item is favourited then "faveIndex": 1.
If an item isn't favourited then "faveIndex": 0.

I'm not a coder, but would it be possible to overload the existing faveIndex value with a list of the individual userIDs for those who have marked the item as a favorite?

A big +1 from me, too. We have a family account and our favorites are clashing or canceling each other out, I don't know which — but it's really annoying. This feels like a design flaw; wherever you see Favorites in software it's user-specific. Otherwise, what's the point?

Same here. We use shared vaults company-wide and ended up in the same invisible tug-of-war @advisory-david describes: people favoriting and un-favoriting the same items without realizing it changes them for everyone.

Favorites are personal by definition, and there is no workaround since tags are shared as well.

And is there any roadmap update after four years?
