Filling Issue in USPS app

Same Problem on a Pixel:
1Password Version: for Android 8.10.83
OS Version: Android 15 Build #: 250505005.B1
Keyboard: Swiftkey
App: USPS (but there are others)

The app kicks me to the https://verified.usps.com
But the "1Password" never comes up.  If I go to the same URL in a browser, even on my Pixel, it works. Just not from the app. (I recently moved over from a different password manager, and that one worked, so I don't think it is the app).

Hi @kcharris, thanks for writing in! I'm sorry to hear 1Password isn't filling as expected in some apps for you. I've moved your comment to a new thread as the original pertained to a question about filling on iOS.

Could you confirm if this is the USPS app where you've seen the issue:

If so, could you also let us know which section you access the login page from? For example the "Hold Mail", or "Click-N-Ship" section. I'd also like to ask which browser is set as the default on your device (device settings > Apps > Default apps). Thanks again!

Yes, that is the app. Most often informed delivery. But I have also tried hold mail as well
I had replied to the email - sorry. I was wondering why no one followed up.

Hi @kcharris, thanks for following up!

I did a quick test with the USPS app and found I got the prompt and could fill as expected.

  • Does this occur on an Android phone or tablet?
  • Could you check if the USPS app is up to date?
  • If you tap the overflow menu button ( ⋮ ) on the same login screen as my example, do you see any indication that Chrome, or another browser, is being used as the in-app browser?
  • Could you try setting autofill suggestions bellow fields to see if they will then pop up in the USPS app?
    • Open and unlock 1Password for Android.
    • Tap the account or collection icon in the top right corner.
    • Tap Settings > Autofill.
    • Set "Display Autofill prompts" to "Below the fields they relate to".

Let us know how that goes, and thanks again!
