Freeze of Android app - esp during search

I'm sorry about the problem you're running into when searching the 1Password for Android app. I suspect that you are encountering a known issue the development team are currently working on where the search tab will utilize an excessive amount of system memory, potentially causing the app to hang on certain devices.

The app has recently started hanging when I open it.

I have tried deleting the data, uninstalling, reinstalling, logging in again. It logs in fine, but if I close it, or switch to another app and back, it hangs.

Logging in through a browser app works fine.

1Password for Android 8.10.36, Android 12

Same issue here. Samsung S21.

Here as well.

I can now only access 1Password through a browser - the app will not even open.

I'm sorry that you're unable to open 1Password. I recommend sending an email to support+forum@1Password.com so that our support team can investigate further. Please include a link to this thread.

Hello,

I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra with Android 14, OneUI 6.1, and 1password version 8.10.36.
When I'm using the search, it freezes. I can still type my search on the keyboard but the list of password and the search box is completly freezed during 3,4 or 5 seconds.

I don't think this is due to my internet connection because it happens with 5G and Wifi (5Ghz).

Is there any solution to correct this?

Me too on my Motorola phone. Unusable. It only types 2 letters then pops up the wait or quit message
