Have to restart twice

I'm on the Nightly Beta and have noticed that on occasion I have to restart twice. I see the blue restart button, click it and it restarts, I login and the restart button appears again.

After the second time all is well. Is this expected behaviour? It is not a problem just seems odd.

This happens to me occasionally when one update has been downloaded in the background and you need to restart to update. Once you update another check is performed (due to the restart) and if any additional updates are found they are offered up at that time.
