Help! failed 2fa-to-security-key and now locked out

Question

1password thinks I have 2fa active on a yubikey but for some reason windows never saved it to the security key. I am locked out of the web portal. Before closing the webpage it said I have one security key activated so I closed it.

Luckily I saved a recovery code.... right?

I tried entering that and the message is that it's too soon after I successfully logged in. So I waited an hour and get another message saying "Recent attempt was cancelled."

How to get this mess fixed?

Surely 1Password can do better than a chatbot and relying on a community forum for this kind of issue? It's a paid annual service now, so monthly fees exist.

1 hour after being locked out and filling two service requests and nothing. I am so happy I copied most of my passwords to Apple's Passwords application or I would have been SOL.
