How do I prevent sub-items from showing?

It sounds like you may be referring to the ability to collapse nested tags within 1Password for Windows? If this is the case it's not currently possible and I would be happy to include your thoughts for the team.

If you are referring to something different, could you provide some additional information to me better understand what you are trying to accomplish?

That's what I mean. Yes, please pass this on. It's an important feature that disappeared when I switched to the premium account.
