How do I search for a keyword across all items in the entire vault (note fields) ?

I am using the Windows app version 8.10.6 and am unable to figure out how to search for a keyword across all login item note fields? I use the search field at the top of the app as well as the Cntl Alt F and search without finding the keyword in any login item note field?

For example if I add the word birthday in a note field of an item and that keyword is nowhere else in any item - 1password will not find that keyword when using the search field at the top of the windows app.

Hi @ranman777, thanks for reaching out! When using the search bar at the top of the app, do you hit Ctrl + Enter after typing in your search query, to show all matching items? If not, could you give that a try and let me know whether it helps?

Yes, I have done that as well as using the
Ctrl + Alt + F. None of the search methods will find a keyword in a note field. Im NOT talking about a "Secure" note. I see a lot of posts about those. Just a plain Jane note field in a login item.

@ranman777

This worked for me using a test Login item and searching for something in the Notes field:

I'm using 1Password 8.10.6 for Windows, on the Production channel, and running Windows 11. Can you try recreating the test item from the screenshot and let me know if that works?

You know this is so weird. Today I can search for any Keyword in any item, and I Don't have to use Ctrl + Alt + F OR Ctrl + Enter. And today it finds the keyword.

The other day, it would not work.

I think their is a pattern here. Maybe it only happens in a specific scenario?

@ranman777 – I'm glad to hear it's working for you. Let us know if you run into any trouble with it and we'll be happy to take another look. :)
