How to disable 1Password SSH agent « ad » on github.com

Hi,

Since a few days, 1Password browser extension show a little blue dot when I’m on github.com. If I click on it, I get the following screen:

This is really annoying because everytime I see the little blue dot on the icon I think that there is an alert regarding one of my items, and also that « ad » prevent 1Password from opening directly on my GitHub login item.

Is there a way to disable that?

Thanks

Hello @Tcheuck! 👋

I'm sorry that you're unable to dismiss the SSH agent suggestion. You should see a Dismiss button like the following:

I've done some testing and it looks like there are circumstances where the Dismiss button is pushed off-screen, such as when using the French language, and it's not possible to scroll down. Our developers have an internal work item open to look into this further.

For the time being, try temporarily switching to English and dismissing the prompt:

  1. Open your browser.
  2. Right-click on the 1Password icon in your browser's toolbar and click Settings.
  3. Click Appearance & shortcuts.
  4. Set the language to English.
  5. Dismiss the SSH Agent suggestion on Github.com.
  6. Change your language back to French.

Let me know if that doesn't work.
