How to have users to save a passkey for a website in the browser, not 1Password

Hello,

I'm developing authentication using browser passkeys and our team has received a bug ticket from our users that on chrome browser + 1password extension environment, 1password UI is hijacking the UI flow of our application.

It happens around when an user attempt to create a new pass key in javascript using:
navigator.credentials.create....

Our team is seeking for a solution to mute/bypass Save passkey UI modal from 1password.  We don't want to compromise the experience of users who uses 1password. If there is no smooth way to handle this, we may need to check the installation of 1password and inform user to disable/mute 1password on our website, which is terrible UX..

Any help would be appreciated

Hello @helloworld1234! 👋Thanks for writing in. Can you clarify your request a little further? Folks using 1Password will generally want to save passkeys in 1Password and not in their browser. Is there a reason why you're trying to have users save passkeys in their browser even if those users are using 1Password as their passkey manager? Users can bypass 1Password if they wish by clicking on the Security Key icon in the pop up: I look forward to hearing from you and helping further. 🙂-Dave
