How to LIMIT the number of password prompts in iOS?

I'm sorry for the frustration. You can choose how often 1Password for iOS will prompt you for your account password by following these steps:

1. Open and unlock 1Password.
2. Tap the icon for your account or collection at the top left and choose Settings. (If you’re using an iPad, tap your account or collection at the top of the sidebar.)
3. Tap Security.
4. Adjust your auto-lock settings as desired.

Hi Dave,

I already had 1Password set to lock after 1 hour.

I literally have to reenter the password to unlock it over and over again.
I'll unlock, go to a browser, paste, go back to 1Password and be forced to unlock it again.
If there are several fields I need to copy and paste, I have to do the same thing each time!

I used to have a 5 character password, I was forced to go with 10. It's doubly irritating now.

I just disabled auto-lock. Hopefully that helps.

Let me know if you still see the issue after changing your auto-lock settings. Out of curiosity, instead of copying and pasting your login credentials have you tried using AutoFill to fill them instead:

• Use 1Password to save logins and sign in to apps and websites on your iPhone and iPad

This greatly reduces the need to have to go back and forth between your browser and the 1Password app.

Sometimes 1password can't find logins, even though the name is the same as the web site.
So, that forces me to copy and paste.

Sometimes with the new tiny 1Password lock icon, I'll unlock and the AutoFill doesn't work.

OK. I just tried an experiment…

Tryied to login to IMDB.com with the little 1Password lock icon.
I tapped the little icon and 1Password opens a Startup Page window.
That's when I have to resort to copy and paste.
It happens every time. Safari and Chrome

Tried it with Brave browser. There's no 1Password unlock icon.
A window pops up with a list of possible login options.

It seems that there's a problem with the browser Extension.
I also have problems with the Mac browser Extension.

Made screenshots on my iPad…

Tried again, did something different.

Tapped the 1Password lock icon in the username field. The standard list appeared with 1Password and KeyChain in the list.
Tapped 1Password in the list and it opened a new Startup Page window.

I'm Stumped.

Thanks for the reply. It looks like 1Password for Safari is having trouble authenticating. Please try the following steps:

1. Fully close Safari on iOS.
2. Fully close 1Password on iOS.
3. Open and unlock the main 1Password app from your home screen.
4. Open Safari and go to any webpage.
5. Tap on the puzzle piece icon in the address bar.
6. Tap on 1Password in the menu.
7. Follow the prompt to unlock 1Password for Safari with your account password.

Then, try to fill a login again using 1Password for Safari: Get to know 1Password for Safari on your iPhone or iPad
