how do I move a group of items from one tag to another tag?  I initially moved these items to the wrong tag.  I assume you can do this easily like moving items from one folder to another.

Hello @scorp! 👋

Thanks for the question! You can use the 1Password desktop app to select multiple items and then drag and drop them to the right tag in the sidebar: Create and manage tags

I hope that helps.

this just adds another tag to those items.  I would like to move items from one tag to another.  As I stated in my initial question, I moved a bunch of items to the wrong tag.  Now I have to bring up each item individually and remove that wrong tag.  This is ok for a couple of items, but not a lot of items.

I’m sorry for the delay, and thank you for your patience. Tags aren’t locations, so items can’t be moved between them. Instead, items are either tagged or untagged. However, you can follow these steps to make sure everything has the correct tag:

  1. Create a temporary tag, such as Keep old tag.
  2. Open the incorrect tag and select the items that should remain there.
  3. Drag those items to the temporary tag. This adds the temporary tag to them.
  4. Drag the items that should be moved to the correct tag.
  5. Right-click the original incorrect tag and choose Delete Tag. This removes it from all of the items that used it.
  6. Right-click the temporary tag, choose Rename Tag, and rename it to the original tag’s name.

That being said, I’ve filed a feature request with our team to make this process easier in cases where the wrong tag was applied or a lot of items need to be retagged.
