how to recover with no devices and no email?

Question

NOTE: I am not currently locked out, I'm trying to plan for a worst-case scenario.That scenario would be the loss of all devices. It's unlikely, but possible.Issue:I saved my secret key somewhere I can get it no matter what, and I tried logging in with that and my password, but was required to use a verification code; this would not be possible to get without a device.I generated a recovery code, but see the requirement "You’ll need access to the email address associated with your 1Password account to verify it’s you." However, if I don't have access to 1Password, I don't have my password to my email, and cannot access my email to verify (again, no devices).So how can I log in with no existing devices? I have methods of storing secret keys and recovery codes, but if I also need authentication codes or email access, I'm out of luck. What's the proper method here?Thanks,Seth

Creating a recovery plan is indeed a very important part of making sure that you'll always be able to access your 1Password account, even if you lose all of your devices. We have some guides here that go in-depth on how to create a plan:Implement a recovery plan for your familyImplement a recovery plan for your teamIn general, you'll want to make sure that you have other family organizers, or users with the ability to help you recover your account, in case of an emergency. You'll also want to download and print out your Emergency Kit and create a recovery code. I saved my secret key somewhere I can get it no matter what, and I tried logging in with that and my password, but was required to use a verification code; this would not be possible to get without a device.It sounds like you've turned on two-factor authentication for your 1Password account. To allow yourself to access your account even if you lose your authenticator app you can add additional factors (like another device with an authenticator app or a security key) and store those with your Emergency Kit. Or you can print the QR code containing the TOTP secret (which is displayed when you turn on two-factor authentication) and store it with your Emergency Kit so that you can scan that code using an authenticator app and generate your one-time password.
