I enabled Apple Passwords and even removed 1Password. That was a bad decision! So I reinstalled 1Password, however Apple Passwords stays active and is just a nuisance. How can I turn it off, so I get back to the old 1Passwords only?

Hi @Fazant, thanks for reaching out!

To start, I'd recommend working through the following article to make sure your settings are configured correctly: Turn off the built-in password manager in your browser

It's also worth opening the Passwords app and going to Passwords > Settings in the menu bar to check that it isn't set to ask to save passwords or to suggest passwords.

If you're still seeing Apple Passwords appear after trying those steps, a screenshot showing where you're seeing it would be really helpful. Just a reminder that this is a public forum, so please hide any private information such as your name, email address, or any passwords before sharing.

Hi @Fazant thanks for getting back to us with that screenshot.

Since you mentioned the steps in our guide didn't resolve the issue, can you confirm if you have the iCloud Passwords extension installed in your browser? If so, does disabling or uninstalling the iCloud Passwords extension improve things?

Let me know if you have any questions.
