Question

I did a dumb thing. How can I fix it please?

I smarly changed my password for 1Password itself, but dumbly was thinking 1Password had it saved so I didn't write it down. Now I can't get my password cause I can't login to 1Password. I have a version I purchased at the Apple Store some years ago. Is there any way to fix this problem with my 3rd party app purchase?

Thanks for any help!

@gkillmaster

The purchase would not be helpful most likely. The database is what is encrypted. Do you know when you changed the password? If you are using a standalone setup you should be able to restore a previous vault database. I mention standalone as you did not include any details about having a membership. Make sure you select a restore prior to the change.

Here is how to restore a standalone vault. 1Password backups - Restore

Thanks a lot! This worked and fixed the issue! My backup was from a few days ago. I own the app but haven't subscribed.

I am happy to hear things are working once again. Let us know if you want to kick the tires on a membership and we can get that going.
