Question

I don't want to unlock with watch — but I can't turn this off

Hello all. 1Password began acting erratically a week or so ago. When I open the desktop app on my Mac, it asks me to authenticate with TouchID. After I do that, now it asks me to double-click the button on my watch as well. It has never requested this before. I want to just use TouchID, but I can't turn off the Watch option.

Here is the dialogue box I see:

Here are the security settings, which show the Watch option is turned off:

Troubleshooting steps I've taken:
* Redownloaded and reinstalled the desktop app from the 1Password website (also the extensions)
* Removed the version I downloaded from the 1Password website and installed the version from the App Store.

I'd be grateful for any advice!

@David72

This sounds like a bug I saw mentioned. Could I trouble you to submit a diagnostic report to help confirm the situation?

  1. Open 1Password.
  2. Press Command and comma (Control and comma on Windows). The 1Password Preferences/Settings will open.
  3. Select Advanced.
  4. Select Send Diagnostics.
  5. Select Reveal to locate the report in your Downloads folder.

Attach the diagnostics to an email message addressed to support+forum@1password.com.

You should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number. Please post that number here. Thanks very much!
