I'm trying to upgrade to 1password 8 on IOS, It does not accept my master password. Why?

It asked me to create a new account or sign in.

When I click sign in, my username appears (my email) and it asks for a password - what is this?

It asks a password - is does not accept the master password from 1password 7.

Hi @jonbulman

The password you'll need to sign into 1Password 8 is your account password – the same one that you would use on 1Password.com.

If you had a "Primary" vault in 1Password 7, you would have used its Master Password to unlock 1Password 7, not your account password.

There's a guide on what to do if you can't sign into your account here: If you forgot your 1Password account password or you can't unlock the app. If you can still unlock 1Password on any of your devices, look for an item called 1Password Account – this will contain your account password.
