Inconsistent actuation of 1Password
When signing into a website, sometimes I can fill in the username and password from 1Password by clicking on the 1P logo in the username field on the website. Sometimes, instead, clicking on that logo displays a popup window that tells me I have to click on the 1P icon on the toolbar. (I use Firefox, with the 1P extension). Can anyone explain why sometimes it is one and sometimes it is the other? This seems inconsistent and confusing. If I need to click the 1P icon on the toolbar, why display the logo in the username field? And why not have clicking the logo in the username field have the same effect as clicking the 1P icon on the toolbar rather than just telling me to click the icon?
If I have already opened the 1P app on my PC and am looking at the login information for the website I am trying to sign into, can anyone explain why, when I click on the 1P icon on the toolbar, I need to again enter my 1P password in order to open 1P so that 1P to fill in my username and password? Since 1P is already is open, that should be sufficient.
These are irritations that I can't explain. I'd be interested in learning if there is some reason for them, and some way to avoid them.
Thanks.
