iOS/Chrome: 1Password Autofill not working for email/username on separate screen from password

As the title says. In Chrome, using 1Password Autofill, when a website login has username and password on separate screens (eg, Amazon, NYTimes), 1Password will not autofill the user name. I can see the password symbol and the suggested entry in the bar above the keyboard. Clicking the key symbol takes me to my entries in 1Password but choosing one does nothing. Clicking the autosuggested login in the bar also does nothing.

However, if I manually type my username, click through to the password entry field, I CAN then get 1Password to autofill the password field.

When a site has both username and password on the same screen, 1Password autofill seems to work just fine.

I'm observing this on multiple iOS devices (iPhones, iPads), all with updated iOS, 1Password and Chrome apps.

Hello @LokiNYC! 👋Thanks for reaching out. Two-page login pages (where the username and password are split across two different pages) seem to cause iOS Password AutoFill some trouble when it comes to detecting username fields in third-party browsers on iOS like Chrome. Password AutoFill is the iOS feature that 1Password relies on to detect and fill logins in browsers and other iOS apps. Since 1Password only provides the data for the Password AutoFill experience this isn't something that we can directly improve and the behaviour will be common to all password managers that use Password AutoFill.I recommend reporting the issue to the Chrome development team so that they can investigate why iOS Password AutoFill isn't detecting username fields on certain pages in their browser. You might have better luck using Password AutoFill in Safari on those same pages. We also have a browser extension for Safari which offers a similar filling experience to what you're used to on the desktop: Get to know 1Password for Safari on your iPhone or iPadI hope that helps. 🙂-Dave
