Question

Is there a way that I can save my Identity Card as an "ID" card.

Where I live we have an Identity Card to be carried at all times. Yes, I also have a standard normal "Passport" with all the info saved accordingly under the category "Passport". I need a category that is "Identity Card". It is not the same as "Identity" which you all know what that is for. How do I go about creating an category named "Identity Card" as my ID card has a user number and a Pin number related to it that needs to be an input into relevant text or similar box.
Thanks for help.

Hello @michaelwayne! 👋

Thanks for the question! Probably the best option would be to create a new Driver License or Membership item and then add any additional information that you need for your Identity using custom fields:

Using custom fields, you can store any information that you wish in 1Password. Let me know if you run into any issues. You can then rename the item to "Identity Card". 🙂

Ok, so how for example can I add a "Common item categories" to the list found in 'Select and click on 3 dots and select 'New Item' and here is a list. I want to add "Identity Card". How do I do this?
Many thanks.

@michaelwayne

The categories that you see in 1Password are pre-built and it's not possible to create a new category. Is there a particular reason why you want to create a new category for an Identity Card rather than choosing Membership or Driver License and then modifying that item using custom fields? Are you saving more than one Identity Card in 1Password?

I look forward to hearing from you.
