Question

Is there a way to disable the website and only allow the browser plugin and app?

I'm not a huge fan of services having a website sitting on the open Internet with a login page that can get to my data. When Apple rolled out Advanced Data Protection and offer the option to disable icloud.com, I did that immediately.

I'm wondering if there is a way to only allow access to the app through the browser plugin and thick client.

@PastaShock

You could likely block `https://my.1password.com` in a router configuration. Though you'd occasionally need to access it for such things as billing, and a few other situations. I would personally avoid that kind of activity but you'd need to make that choice based on your own needs. Blocking https://my.1password.com should not affect syncing. You could also switch to another network such as cellular if you needed to access it.

But to answer your question there is no configuration in the clients to block accessing the site. The above is beyond the scope of 1Password you'd want to seek guidance beyond here in all likelihood.

That's not quite what I am looking for. I want to do what Apple does with Advanced Data Protection, where I can disable web access for my account globally and require the use of the app or the browser plugin.

At this time the clients do not have all the features of 1Password web. I'd be happy to file a request on your behalf for such an offering to be made available.
