Issues with unlocking 1Password

Why has 1Password gotten so unreliable to unlock, autofill etc on MacOS?   The Safari Password thing often doesn't respond,  when you click on the 1PW icon in the Safari bar, it says to open 1Password (which is already open),  go to 1Password and do what?   Then go back the the browser.  Sometimes things start to work, sometimes not. 

Seems like it's just getting worse and worse with each update from 1PW.

Any reliable fixes?  

When we click on things, it should just work.

MacOS 15.5, 1PW etc all up to date.
