Linux package >500MB larger

I just upgraded my 1Password package on Arch Linux using yay (installed from AUR):

Package (4)             Old Version   New Version   Net Change
1password               8.11.16-35    8.11.18-36    529.80 MiB

That's a significant jump in size for such a minor update, is this expected?

Hello @flozza! 👋

I'm sorry that the 1Password for Linux package size is larger than expected. Our developers are aware of the issue and a fix should be available in the next production release: 8.11.20

If you still see the issue after updating to 8.11.20 (or later) then let me know.

Want to also confirm that I'm seeing something similar in EndeavourOS:

==> Finished making: 1password 8.11.20-39 (Tue 25 Nov 2025 04:42:28 PM EST)
==> Cleaning up...
loading packages...
resolving dependencies...
looking for conflicting packages...

Package (1) Old Version New Version Net Change

1password    8.11.18-36   8.11.20-39   -652.97 MiB

Total Installed Size:   499.80 MiB
Net Upgrade Size:      -652.97 MiB

:: Proceed with installation? [Y/n]

@1P_Dave is the negative net difference all of the kruft that @flozza got and a little bit more off the top for good measure?
