Linux/Ubuntu - Nightly Browsers Unsupported for Browser Integration
I haven't exactly tested this extensively,
but,
I've tried this with 1password, and 1password beta.
I know has a browser authentication failure on firefox-nightly,
and I've tried firefox-trunk (I didn't specifically check the addon logs for trunk),
(using both the 1password addon, and it's beta variant).
Though I'm unsure of the real differences between the firefox versions there.
I also tested it with Brave Nightly, and Brave,
it seems to work on Brave just fine,
but I would guess Brave Nightly has the same authentication failure that Firefox Nightly has.
I didn't really go through the hassle of trying to install firefox outside of snap,
but my guess is that the 1password addon is functional there.
What's weird is I swear that earlier this,
or last week the 1password addon could sync with the app just fine on firefox nightly.
I did see there was a soft fix for vivaldi in https://1password.community/discussion/134430/cant-connect-the-app-with-the-browser-extension-in-ubuntu,
While writing this,
I found that worked by adding firefox-trunk,
but was unable to get it to work on brave-nightly.
Firefox Nightly is my main browser, and this issue is, for the most part resolved.
so more of an informative post for others.
