Logging out of Chrome session

Recently I am having the issue that I get (randomly) logged out of my Chrome 1PW session. Afterwards, it has my account name (probably in a cookie) but it requires me to reauthenticate with the master password, secret key (and in my case also 2FA). Any idea what could be causing this? To my best knowledge I am not doing something odd or wrong and the behavior is quite distrupting.

Please let me know how I can contribute to find the root cause. I have this issue twice in two weeks time whereas before this worked perfectly.

Love the 1PW product. :-)

Best, Mark

Hello @mark24332! 👋

I'm sorry that you're being prompted to sign into your 1Password account in Chrome unexpectedly. To clarify, are you being asked to sign into 1Password.com? Or the browser extension? And do you have the desktop app installed?

You might be asked to sign into 1Password.com again if you've cleared your browser's history/cache. Do you know if you've done that recently? Or if you have an app or browser extension that might be clearing Chrome's history/cache by itself?

Hi Dave,

This was the Chrome extension on my work device. Checked with security and they’re not blocking 1PW. I don’t have the desktop app installed. I was logged out of the extension and required to re-login.  I haven’t cleared cache or history in Chrome (nor an extension that does so). It seemed like a random snap where I was logged out.

Today I received a message from / in Chrome that my extension had to be repaired. Unfortunately, was able to grab a screenshot. I removed the plugin and reinstalled it. Fingers crossed it is not throwing me out in some time. :)
