Login to 1password failing on Win11

Hi people. I'm on a trial to 1P having used a different password manager for years and although it's working pretty smoothly on my Android phone, logging on to it on browsers on Windows 11 is madly frustrating.

I've tried logging in on Firefox, Chrome, Brave and their browser extensions.  The only joy I've had is using Tor in a private window. 

All I want to do (which seems pretty straightforward to me coming from my previous PW manager) is set up my laptop to use my Windows Hello biometric login as I do pretty straightforwardly on my Android phone. When I can't log in and try to use the recovery key it tells me that's not working either because I've logged in "too recently" or "recent attempt was cancelled" - ?...
