Mac - Apple Watch Off - Still Trying

I have the Apple Watch option turned off in the Preferences but it still attempts to login using the Watch at startup. This fails because my Macbook is not on Wi-Fi. There is no error given, just spins for 30 seconds then fails the login.

Just FYI

Hi there @annoyed1234123431.

I've been able to reproduce this on my own MacBook. In my case, it occurs when Touch ID is temporarily unavailable (ex. in clam shell) and Apple Watch unlock is disabled in the preferences. Would you mind confirming if you have used Touch ID on this machine? Do you still actively use it?

I have found a fix for the issue I reproduced locally and I'm hoping that it'll resolve your issue as well. Please do keep an eye open for it in the change log.
