Mac Beta?

I downloaded the MacOS Beta of 1password.  Immediately after opening it, I was presented with a notice there was an update so I updated.  If I look at the about page I see `81070026, on PRODUCTION channel`.  The about tab shows I'm on the `Release Channel: Beta`.

Is there no current beta and that's why I'm getting the PRODUCTION version?

Hello @jalanh! 👋

Thanks for reaching out. The latest beta version of the 1Password for Mac desktop app is 8.10.72-25 and it sounds like something is going wrong if you're unable to update to this version. Can you try the following:

  1. Uninstall 1Password: How to uninstall 1Password
  2. Install the 1Password for Mac beta using the link in our release notes: https://releases.1password.com/mac/beta/

If that still doesn't work then let me know.

I'm glad that reinstalling the beta version of the 1Password app resolved the issue. 🙂

This fixed my problem as well. 1Password Beta 81102020 would not update/install on both of my Macs, which makes me think that there was a problem with the beta updater as opposed to a problem with my Macs. Just FYI only. Never had a problem before and have been in the beta program for years.

@sfiske

I'm sorry that you ran into the same issue. If you see the issue again then let me know and I can dig deeper.
