Mac: date displays in UK format but copies in US format, iOS: no zero padding on dates

1st issue - 1Password for Mac 8.10.82 (81082029)

On Mac, when I click copy on this date "30/06/2025" (UK format) the value it copies to my clipboard is "06/30/2025" (US format) which is not what I expect.

2nd issue - 1Password for iOS 8.10.82 (81082029)

On iOS, the day and month still don't have the correct 0 padding that was updated on the Mac version.

But at least when I copy "5/6/2025", the same value is copied to my clipboard.

We appreciate everyone's patience! This should be fixed in 1Password 8.11.14, released this week. Please let us know if you're still seeing the issue after updating.

I'm sorry that you're running into issues with dates in 1Password on both macOS and iOS. I'll reply below:

I've reproduced the same issue here on my end and I see that our development team is already tracking the issue. I've added your report there, hopefully it can be fixed soon.

On iOS, the day and month still don't have the correct 0 padding that was updated on the Mac version.

Can you post a screenshot of the following:

Open the Settings app on your iOS device.
Tap General.
Tap Language & Region.

Can you take a screenshot of this entire page? You might need to take more than one screenshot depending on the length of the page. I look forward to hearing from you.

Any update on this issue? I just got caught out by it when copying and pasting the start and end date of a passport. Two months on and it's still doing it in the latest nightly.

I can’t believe this error is still open (the oldest mention is from 4 years ago!). Many users have been complaining for such a long time. I ran into it again today copying a passport expiration date. If you don’t notice this error you can get into a serious trouble checking in for your next international flight.

The only response we get until now is that it is being tracked … When will the tracking change to solving?

I'm sorry for the frustration caused. Dates being copied to the clipboard with the wrong date format is a bug that was first reported in July of this year, can you clarify the issue that you've been running into for 4 years when using 1Password? Are you seeing dates in the wrong format in the 1Password app? Or are they being displayed correctly but copied to the clipboard incorrectly? Can you also tell me which preferred language you're using for your operating system and what kind of device you're using?

There are a few different date issues that our team is looking into and I want to make sure that we're talking about the same issue.

But more specifically I'm referring to the multiple problems with date formatting which started (at least) 4 years ago already ... Wrong date/time format MacOS 12.3 | 1Password Community

There has been an almost endless litany of users complaining about the various issues with date formatting and half-baked work-arounds. Mac system software provided proper conversions to all/most locales since the start in the 80's and it remains unclear Agilebits can provide an excellent password manager but not get this issue resolved.
Please read your own response in the second link above and you must feel sorry for us long time 1Password users still suffering from such a fundamental functionality deficit ...

Hurray, it works as expected now including zero padding (using language UK, region Netherlands). When I copied 14 September 2017 (displayed as 14/09/2017 in 1Password desktop) it was pasted as 14/09/2017. This is what I would have expected.
