MacOS: application window keeps closing in the background

Do you have this setting enabled? If not, please do so and see if that changes your experience.

1Password > Preferences (Settings) > General - Keep 1Password in the menu bar

Hmm, well that idea is out. So moving on, my next though is do you have any apps that close other apps on a not used or timer basis? Quitter is one that comes to mind that I have used in the past. There should be no reason for 1Password for Mac to quit unless some external force is acting upon it.

When you use CMD+TAB can you elaborate more on your actions? There was an issue open with regard to the switcher but I think it was the opposite of what you're experiencing due to the setting I mentioned above being enabled.

https://vimeo.com/848785308?share=copy Not sure if this video will help or not. the problem is that I open and use 1Password as normal, then start using another application, or several. After a period of time, I need to get some information from 1Password, so I use CMD+TAB to switch over to 1Password, but the application window is no longer available, and I have to restart the program. By itself, not a big problem, but I do this several times a day, and this problem always interrupts my work flow and is kinda annoying.

I'm not able to see anything that stands out in the recording. Let's get you over to my colleagues in email support. I'd like to ask you to create a diagnostics report from your device to save an email exchange. If they need it great, and if not, well, we've cut down on one email back and forth which hopefully, helps you find a solution quicker.

1. Open 1Password.
2. Press command and comma. The 1Password preferences will open.
3. Tap Advanced.
4. Click Send Diagnostics.
5. Click Reveal to locate the report in your downloads folder.

Attach the diagnostics to an email message addressed to support+forum@1password.com.

I agree. Often when we have situations like this it is helpful to see some of the users normal work patterns. It might reveal an app running that may be closing things. It may be that we notice an extra step that you miss or we miss when trying to reproduce a behavior. I have been guilty of providing steps and then you get into the groove and you accidentally forget one small step and that ends up being the key to unlocking the whole situation. There's no guarantee something like that will happen here but it might be the best shot we have to go off of. I can't count how many time a video has helped. I'm hoping it might. Just maybe.
