Master Password

Hello everyone,
I use 1Password as a single user for personal use. It bothers me that I have to enter the master password every time I start my PC. As I said, I use my computer alone.
Can I turn this off? With another product, you can at least turn off this password for 14 days.
Thanks for your help.
Regards from Germany

Hello @uwekoester! 👋

Thanks for reaching out! You can use Windows Hello to unlock 1Password, even after restarting your PC, by installing the 1Password desktop app and enabling TPM:

  1. Install 1Password for Windows
  2. Use Windows Hello to unlock 1Password on your Windows PC

For step 2, make sure to follow the steps under "Manage your settings" once you've enabled TPM. Going forward, you'll be able to unlock 1Password using Windows Hello (biometrics or your Windows PIN) rather than having to always enter your account password after restarting. This will apply to both the desktop app and the browser extension.

I hope that helps.
