Master password not up to date - how2 generate new

Hallo!
I am asked for the master password for a specific setting. I thought I currently had this saved in my 1Password vault. Unfortunately, the system tells me that I have entered the wrong master password. I have not stored another one anywhere else. But I have the current secret key and password for logging in. Is there a way to generate a new master password without knowing the current one?

There is no way to generate a new master password without knowing the current one. You can try to recover your password using the steps found here: https://support.1password.com/forgot-account-password/

    My request is a typical case of unlimited stupidity. Of course I know my password, which I use to log in every day. The term "master password" mistakenly intimidated me into thinking this was yet another code. Sorry for wasting your time. All good!

    I'm glad that you were able to get things working! Out of curiosity, are you actually seeing the phrase "master password" somewhere? Or are you seeing "account password"? The former is a phrase that isn't used anymore in modern versions of 1Password so I wonder if you're using an older version.
