Matching Samba login on macOS Finder in Tahoe
I’m not sure if the question has been asked/responded properly in the forum. I love the macOS integration with 1Password, I can finally use it for some OS-level stuff. I am having issue with accessing Samba/SMB/network resources and matching them with 1Password.
The setup I have is 1Password for Mac 8.12.36 on BETA channel, as of writing this it’s version 81236032. I use it for the amazing dev integration, particularly the SSH bookmarks <3.
When I try to access a network resource in Finder (let’s say smb://192.168.1.1/media), I get the system prompt asking for password. I then have an option of picking up 1Password or Apple Password Manager. When I pick 1Password, nothing gets matched though. I have to search for the 1Password item manually.
I tried doing the same trick that works for SSH bookmarking, i.e. adding URLs with the exact paths. It didn’t help though.
If it helps, I can attach a screenshot, however, my macOS is in Polish so it might be a little confusing.
TL;DR: 1Password macOS integration is unable to match Samba URL in Finder.
