Migration to 1Password 8

How are you currently syncing your data? If it's with a membership all you should need to do is to install 1Password 8 and then sign into your account.

Hi, the situation is as follows: I got a membership for 1Password 8 since years for my wife and myself. My son was still working with 1P 6 or 7 until the graphics of that old iMac went broken. Now he got a new Mac mini M2. This one is now newly set up. Was able to copy all necessary data via Firewire to Thunderbolt because the old mac can still be handled as an external drive. So I need to know which files from the old mac’s library must be copied to the new mac an to where that it works with 1Password 8. (Meanwhile my son is also Family member)

Where is the data? If the data is in a membership there is no need to copy any files. All of you could have your data in a 1Password membership. All of the data will be pulled in from within your account if the data was/is in a membership.

If that is the case (data in a membership) you would install 1Password 8 and then sign into your respective account.
