Question

Move server location toggle higher on page?

I think the UI could be improved with one small change; moving the server location toggle to higher up on the page so you can see it when it loads initially. At present, I have to scroll down to use EU servers; this initially caused a lot of confusion because I'd sign in with QR code-- it would scan, go green on my phone, but nothing would happen. I hadn't checked the domain, but many don't anyway, and it would be easier, especially for new users. What's more confusing is that it's in a great place when you choose to sign in with password; it is only obscured on the first page when it loads!

^ bottom of page (could be better)

^ top of page (could be better)

^ signin through password (good placement, can see immediately on page load)

Hello @henrya! 👋

Thank you for the feedback! Out of curiosity, how are you accessing that page? If you're intending to sign in to a 1Password.eu account then you can access the appropriate sign-in page, and server, using https://start.1password.eu/signin

I'd like to better understand how you end up on the 1Password.com page instead of the 1Password.eu page so that I can share that detail with our team as well. For example, are you signing into the browser extension?

I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi Dave! Usually this is on new browsers/devices-- my muscle memory defaults to 1password.com which I can easily remember, then I click the button on the top right to sign in the first time.

@henrya

Thank you for the feedback! I've passed along your suggestion to our product team so that they can look into how we can improve the design of this page.
