Multiple dates w/ expiration reminders in same record

The new feature to attach an alert to an expiration date is great, but there are two suggestions for improvement:

1. When you ad hoc add new date fields to a record, setting an expiry alert is currently not an option. Please make it an option. If someone is adding a date to a record, odds are that it will be an expiration date.
2. I guess this might be solved if #1 is implemented, but I would like to see the option to add multiple date fields to a record AND be able to set an expiry reminder for each one of them. My use case is for vehicles: I have an entry with basic vehicle info such as VIN, license plate, insurance policy number, etc. but would like to see fields for Registration Exp. date, Inspection Exp. date, Insurance Exp. date, etc. with the ability to add different expiry reminders for each one.
