My password does not update in the web browser extension

Hello,
My password does not update in the extension.
A website asks me to change my password (it wants us to change every x months, why not).
Since I just opened 1password app on my second screen, I change the password in the app.
But in safari, it does not update. And what’s more, when I click on modify (in the extention), it brings me back to the 1Password application that shows me the new password!
So yes, I guess I’ll be told to close safari and reopen it, but is that normal? I would like this "bug" to be corrected or to be explained to me what I have to do. I remind you that 1password is present and used successfully in business. (I mean that the answer: restart your computer is not conceivable).

KR,

(Please understand, English is not my mother tongue, thank you)

Hello Former Member! 👋

I'm sorry that you're not seeing a password get updated in the browser extension when you edit that password using the 1Password app. This is a known issue that our development team is investigating and I've shared your report with them.

For the time being there are a couple of workarounds that I can share:

  1. Restarting Safari to force an immediate update (as you mentioned).
  2. Using the browser extension itself to update your password rather than using the app: Get to know 1Password in your browser

I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

So reading your answer, I have to understand that this is the expected behavior and not a bug?

I'm sorry for not being clear. This is a known issue, in other words it's a bug that our developers are aware of and are investigating. The team hopes to release a fix in a future update to 1Password.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Ha ok I feel reassured: you are aware of the problem and you are trying to solve it and it will therefore really disappear in a futur release, hopefully.
Thank you
