After updating the Safari plugin, I have to enter my master password to unlock 1Password. The option to use touch ID on the Mac has disappeared.

1Password Version: 8.9.8
Extension Version: 2.4.1
OS Version: MacOS 12.6
Browser:_ Safari

Hey @topher18,

It sounds like 1Password in Safari may be having a hard time communicating with your 1Password app.

Can you give the below steps a try and let me know if it improves things?

  1. Right click the little 1Password icon on the top menu bar of your Mac (where the clock is) and select "Quit".
  2. Quit Safari by right clicking its icon in the Dock and selecting "Quit".
  3. Open and unlock 1Password.
  4. Open Safari and test if you can then unlock with Touch ID.

Let me know how you get on!
