One Click Login - Managing Passwords
One Click Login
I am thinking of moving to roboform, another password manager. The main reason is that they advertise support of one click login.
I have not been able to find out how to set that up an 1password. It is cumbersome to navigate to the password then click on the webpage then click on open and login and despite the creating the password in 1password it often does not take me to the login page. This just creates a lot of friction.
Ideally I'd like to see a list of websites and then right click and say open and be logged in.
Password Management
Duplicates
Somehow I have ended up with a ton of duplicate entries within 1password. I am worried that if I import the password held in Apple's password Application that I will end up with even more duplicates.
Is there a way to sort passwords by Date Created.
Do you have any suggestions on how to clean out those duplicates without spending a day manually doing it. Could I export them to Excel and then re-import them? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Possible Solutions
It would be really great to get a spreadsheet view of the passwords so that I could spot duplicates, if that's too difficult it would just be nice if the list of 1Passwords included the date created.
It would be great if the application included a duplicate finder the same way that the photos app does.
I don't see any way to do a multiple select and delete the ones all at once.
Cleaning them up is extremely difficult because 1password keeps getting in the way, First asking me if I am sure if I want to delete it and letting me know that they will be stored for 30 days each time I delete a password. Is there a way to stop this in settings.
In my humble opinion the one way that 1password could stay relevant is by being able to better manage the passwords compared to Apple's password manager as well as making pass keys easy to use especially with two factor authentication.
Is there a white paper that talks about why to use 1password versus using the native Apple passwords app, right now it's my impression that Apple password is faster and easier to use.
